Translator's notes:
In verse 2, there is a pun which could not be properly translated. The word "call" in "you hear the call" is ZOV (ЗОВ) in Ukrainian and Russian, an acronym which also refers to the three directional letters that were painted on Russian tanks.
The word "lyax" (лях) is a Ukrainian slur referring to Poles and the word "moskal" (москал) is a slur used by Ukrainians to refer to Russians.
St. George's ribbon is a symbol of victory over the Third Reich in WW2 and is used as a symbol of victory over neo-Nazis in Ukraine today.
The Blessed Mother and Mother of God are referenced because "Maria" or Mariupol is named after the Virgin Mary
