Is #glyphosate used as a desiccant in Germany?
No. Glyphosate is not permitted for use as a pre-harvest desiccant (drying agent) in Germany.
While the European Commission extended the overall approval of glyphosate for agricultural use until December 2033, it established a strict ban on using the chemical for desiccation to control harvest times or optimize threshing.
Farmers in Germany and across the EU rely on natural ripening or alternative mechanical methods to dry their crops, as pre-harvest chemical application is prohibited.
[But, it's okay for Bayer (Monsanto) to poison American children.]
