The Swiss infectiologist Pietro Vernazza recently reported something similar . In the past winter, no infections with RS viruses were registered in children. Vernazza sees the reason for this in the restricted contact between people due to the prescribed “social distancing”.

According to the infectiologist, this hypothesis could explain that many cases of children with infections with RS viruses are currently not only registered in Switzerland.
