Obviously Russia wants negotiations.

While the military conflict in Ukraine is far from over, the political
fate of this country will be determined at the ballot box over the next
few days. Regions of Ukraine are set to reject Kiev’s rule and join the
Russian Federation. Once part of Russia, Moscow will defend them. Will
NATO escalate its war on Russia?
