Those emails in the hands of the New York mail that showed that son Hunter had introduced his Ukrainian energy buddies to VP father Joe Biden, 8 months before Joe Biden pressured the Ukrainian government to stop a corruption investigation against those same energy buddies, huh. These are emails with a story, and above all a fairly difficult to verify story about its exact origin. See explanation in this thread.
The emails were reportedly discovered by a Trump-backing laptop repairman, who got Hunters three Macbooks with water damage. The laptops were then never picked up again and the repair was not paid for. It is then unclear whether he approached parties or whether he was approached, but in December 2019 he handed the laptops to the FBI and a copy of the hard drive to Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani. At the end of September this year, Steve Bannon told the New York Post about the existence of this hard drive, and last Sunday Giuliani sent it to the New York Post.

All a bit less abject because the emails were from 2017 and Joe Biden was no longer a VP, but hey, what a rascal.
